Aquarium Maintenance began in 1974. At first it was a relatively small operation; two tanks in a doctor's office. But in 1985, Guy Bedow and his brother Grant decided to act on their hunch that there was a larger market out there for the service. They went full-time and within two years had more clients than they could handle. There certainly was a great demand for the service. People were thrilled to be able to enjoy the benefits of an aquarium without having to do any of the work. The company expanded into other markets by partnering with other motivated individuals who operate territories. Today, we service over 400 aquariums across the country in five states: Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Mississippi and Georgia.
